Mulberry

“Mulberry” is my Art Center thesis film project. It took two years in the making. During this time, I learned a valuable set of skills needed to be a showrunner for a team of artists. From creating a production schedule to jumping in and having a hand in every step of the pipeline, this project was the most demanding, but the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done! I enjoyed working with my team and had amazing guidance from my professors.

“Mulberry” tells the story of parenthood through magic and whimsy. This coming-of-age short follows the timeline of a young boy who befriends a mulberry tree that comes to life. She watches him grow from adolescence to adulthood facing many challenges along the way. When conflicting emotions begin to hold the boy back, she must learn the most difficult lesson of being a parent, to let him go.
